It's that time of year again! We save our pennies for Sled Island every year and have a 'staycation' while the weather is perfection. This year is as wonderful as the last few. There will be plenty of catching up with pals and tons of great music. The highlight of this year will be the two performances by Kurt Vile. I have been dying to see him live for 2 years now.
This is a live version of Blackberry Song from the album Childish Prodigy. I can't wait!!!

That orangey brown is my new favorite color. I just noticed how large that section of my closet is getting.

Don't Panic - Behind the scenes
Just a few shots from the shoot in Edmonton. More to come the first week of July. Thanks to Gravity Pope, The Coup and Oak + Fort for lending us gorgeous items as well as Aaron Pedersen for the use of his studio.
Also, check out this delicious newish restaurant in Edmonton if you haven't already. Corso 32 serves beautiful, simple italian food. While researching them I also ran across chef Daniel Costa's blog which is quite nice to look at. You can check that out here.

Edmonton Bound
I'm heading out to my hometown of Edmonton tomorrow. The Wilkosz & Way team, (myself included) are shooting an editorial for the debut issue of Alberta publication Don't Panic out July 1st!
My first stop in Edmonton is always Duchess Bake Shop. I'm so proud of my friends Garner & Giselle for making their culinary dreams come true. The shop is busier than they could ever have imagined and for good reason. My favorite staples are the almond meringues, the lime tart and the pastrami and grainy mustard sandwich (on house-made croissants), but they always have something new to tempt me too.
If you haven't been there yet check it out, you won't regret it.

Renos
We recently shuffled some rooms around in our apartment. After a few months everything finally feels settled. Thought I might post some images of the last room to get 'resolved'.
We only grow cat shaped cacti around here....
